I’ve lived in Vienna for fifteen years. The city took me in and taught me — and now I want to pass it on, to people who speak my language.
I came to Vienna in 2010 for my master’s. I stayed for the city, for the people, for the way an evening in Stadtpark still sounds like 1890. I started as a translator, then a group coordinator, and ended up with a license of my own.
I hold an official Austrian Reisebetreuer license — a licensed travel companion. That means I can be your local person: airport pickup, translation, logistics, reservations, all-day assistance. I know the café where locals drink Melange at 4 p.m., and I know which entrance to Schönbrunn has no queue on a Tuesday.
I work alone. One phone number, one person, one meeting. That’s the whole business. It’s how I can promise your day will actually be yours.
What Reisebetreuer actually means
Austria has two kinds of licenses. Reisebetreuer (mine) lets me accompany, translate, and assist. Fremdenführer is an official guiding license with the right to commentary in museums. I’m not a tour guide — I’m your person in Vienna. So I won’t make a speech in front of Empress Sisi’s portrait. Instead I’ll plan your day so you see her without the queue, with the story that matters.
